I have just officially became a huge hit
among Connecticut Youth [2-5 years old girls :) ]
I did this Charity Benefit Show today .Jam for Jimi.
raising money for little boy's surgery.
With my dancer Denise…
all the little girls were mesmerized and tried to copy her moves hahaOne almost died trying to pull off Denise’s split :]Joke but it was really cute crowd and we were adored

went to see Madonna last night
for free! amazing!
and amazing show !

cuz they let us in :) and cuz she is freaking GODDESS!

this rude older guy was really pushy and
repeated like 100 times that there is no tickets left
we were there one hour after the show started so
I could believe him for sure!
but we were told by the other [NICE!] guy at the door that we should talk to Guest Service...
and so we waited a little longer
so someone else will come out [instead of the rude guy]
and this younger Blond woman came out and talked to us
I asked if there is really no tickets left....NOT EVEN FOR LOOSERS?
and the rude dood was interrupting my conversation with her
screaming 'I told you there is not tickets I told you ...'
so I said [I tried to be as pollite as I could ..and OMG I can be nice :) ]
I said 'I heard you sir! Thank you !' so the Blond Girl smiled and after a minute came out with tickets for us! :)
showing a little beat of character helps :)
I asked the ticket Goddess what her name was cuz I will worship it till the end of my days :)

It’s so strange I was printing out lyrics to Extasy of love today ( I need it for RON – my producer here in CT for tomorrow’s session) and I dated this song when I first wrote it February 3, 2004….I remember how and when it happened it’s been two years now since I wrote Extasy…DATES, YEARS they give us sense of accomplishment >> looking back I see what I was and I what I am now | when I first started writing my English wasn’t so well especially my speaking language…but when I was writing words would come along and made sense too and usually when I write melodies follow ..or opposite I hear a melody in my head first …and then I think about what I want to say and say it …
I wish I was still recording music that I am constantly hearing …but with all the work that I have with recording ,performing , promoting, shooting a video I am just ignoring those melodies and rarely record them at all …I should make a new resolution …to record every single melody that I hear and get it together with lyrics too !!! Make songs again !!!
I have written a lot since I first started ( 2 years ago ) and they are waiting for their turn to become publicly available ,but for now they are here on my ‘unreleased’ CD WAITING for their turn

REHEARSAL

I just had a rehearsal with my dancers at ARKADIA-that club that I am performing at tomorrow |one word ....AMAZING :) the sound is great,lights, fog everything :) nice stage !!!! and we put together a lil choreography for each song ( I will do 3 songs ) so I am freaking excited now :) I will post video and pics from the show

Woooowwww it’s almost Christmas and New Year’s Eve! ( next year will be 2006…that’s what I heard).I can’t believe it! …OK! All right!!!who am I kidding…??!!! of course I can ! Why else there would be a Christmas tree in the middle of my living room ….
I hope everybody’s 2006 is a Great and very very blessed one!!!! Lets make the best out of it!!! Woo hooo !!!! Waiting...in a cold, rainy CT

so here is an update on CD progress….
my recording session was scheduled for late October…but as we all know it is more fun in live when things don’t go right…and who doesn’t like to have fun?! I love it :)
to make my “patience training” (*see my "Recording Session" journal entry)even more sufficient…my session was cancelled and rescheduled for early December …There wasn’t much left for me to do…as I already wrote and demoed enough songs for the record…and I did all the work on my website etc…
so..to lovely spend this 'WAITING TIME' and to entertain myself... I've been doing lots of fun stuff!!! Like.... chasing neighbor's dogs, or looking around…if there's any left to chase(like here on this picture…something like that "looking around")
then I shoot some rocks into the lake…to kill the time and also cuz I promised to everybody at myspace that I won’t move until I hear back from my producer…
I got tired of shooting rocks into the lake though…so I decided to start walking and won't stop untill the waiting is over
I'll be buck !!!!

So..... I won the BROADJAM.COM showcase "14 out of 300 unsigned artists in all genres from all over the country were picked to perform at the New England Musicians Expo sep 17-18 at the Connecticut Convention Center"
Someone just got the wrong submission transfered which ( Thank You !) happen to be mine!

I did 6 of my songs ( including Fears and Extasy of love and 4 other songs no one heard before hehe);3 of those songs I did with the track and other 3 with a piano ...
it was a little crazy because I came out with the idea of doing 3 songs acoustically 2 weeks before the performance…and when my brilliant idea hit me I started actively haunting for someone who could play some good piano or guitar for me…that’s how I found Scotty!Who is such a SICKKKKKK piano player (*sick - new word I picked up during the NEME, means 'amazing'...I have been overusing it in my everyday English ever since) : he picked up my songs in no time …and I mean no time …I just hummed it and he played it…AMAZING how good I am at humming!
Anyway !...I am just glad all went well !and even though I almost forgot lyrics during one of my songs…I got it all right and Scotty did an amazing job !THANKS SO MUCH SCOTTY !!!!People seem to really like me, which made me a blushing, but also very happy Russian girl in Connecticut :)
not only I had a great time performing and checking out some workshops

going to recording session, FINALLY!!! have been waiting for this for sooo long! It was scheduled for May, then cancelled…now it’s July and I am hoping all is gonna work out this time!
Talking about Patience…I am a Master at this by now :)…maybe I should consider this my new career and do “how to get super patient “ seminars around the country
and “after” shoot…
looking tired hehe :)Yep! Recording vocals is not an easy job, and surprisingly being stuck in a traffic on my way to the studio for 2 hours didn’t really add any spark to a day.
